Title: A Pretty Boy with a Bird Tattoo
Author: [archiveofourown.org profile] kryptaria, [archiveofourown.org profile] zooeyscigar
Rating: E
Word Count: 100,646
Summary: Bucky Barnes is the wholesome, handsome boy next door, complete with the engineering major and the beloved younger sister (or three).

Steve Rogers is the punk artist loner with an unkindness on his arm and a never-ending fight against the world. His best friend, Natasha, is best left unmentioned, though there are rumors that if you kiss the Black Widow's spider, she'll give you a tattoo for free. But she never said where or what.

They shouldn't work together, until they do.

Hi, everyone!

In an effort to adapt to our new platform, we are doing group asks a little differently in our DW community. This post will serve as an example of what lost fic requests will look like if we need to move to DW permanently, so please feel free to refer to it if you need to. As this is only an illustrative post to move our backlog, comments are disabled.

We know everyone has that one fic they've read a long time ago and, for the life of them, can't find a link to again. On Tumblr, you'd just drop the Library an ask after Google and AO3 searches failed you and we would do our best to find your lost fic for you or we would ask for the help of our lovely followers.

Here, we will be compiling lost fic requests as comments.

HELP, I CAN'T FIND A FIC!
If you have a lost fic you'd really like to find again, just fill out this template with things you remember:

1) Click the "reply" button below.
2) Your comment must have a  subject title. Please put something brief and descriptive that shows what you're looking for. It can include tropes, setting, and/or rating or it can be something as simple amnesiac!Bucky, Coffee Shop AU with weird sign outside, Post TWS-fic with Sam, Shrunkyclunks with SHIELD Agent!Bucky, etc.
3) Copy and paste the template below in the comment box and fill it to the best of your ability. We know some things will be hard to remember, but please provide as much detail as you are able to. If you can't remember something, feel free to delete the field.

WHO CAN RESPOND TO LOST FIC REQUESTS?
Everyone is welcome to reply with a link to a found fic! Mod replies will come only from 3 accounts: [personal profile] stuckylibrarymods , [personal profile] aeremaee , and [personal profile] wearing_tearing.

Title: Korpimaan kutsu
Author: [archiveofourown.org profile] Feanor_in_leather_pants, [archiveofourown.org profile] rohkeutta
Rating: T
Word Count: 9,905
Summary: The Wise Man teaches him sometimes if he catches Steve puttering around the woods: how to read the trees and the moss, when to listen to the birds and when it’s better to leave their advice untaken. He teaches Steve about the bears and why you’re never supposed to call them by their real name; tells him grittier and truer stories about the woodsfolk than the old ladies in the village.

“Bear no ill will for the woodsfolk,” the Wise Man tells him. “Washer hags will tell you to never drink from a forest-dweller’s cup, but if you’ve always treated Tapio’s court with respect, they will remember it.” He watches Steve with a critical eye; an old man with his long beard and ragged clothes, bird bones and animal teeth in his pockets. Then he pokes Steve’s chest with one bony finger. “You carry the woods with you, son,” he says. “Don’t fear them. Let them invite you in, when they’re ready.”

Word Count: 8,513
Summary: "Listen, I'm on a very tight schedule here, I don't have time to talk to idiots--"

"Okay, fine, then I'll just hang onto your weird three headed dog thingy then, shall I?" Steve snaps.

"Cerberus?"

"That's what the tag says." Steve mutters.

"Who even is this?" Steve asks, feeling exhausted from the entire conversation.

"James Buchanan Barnes." The voice - James - answers. "Lord of the Underworld. Owner of Cerberus. I'll see you in three days, Steve."

Steve finds a puppy on a post-graduation road trip. It spirals from there.

Author: [archiveofourown.org profile] odetteandodile
Rating: M
Word Count: 38,427
Summary: Grover's Mill, 1938--Strange green projectiles have been spotted in the night sky, originating from the vicinity of Mars. When they fall it's not the space rock and meteorite dust everyone expects, but something much, much worse.

Steve Rogers is working at a newspaper in a small town, trying to move away from the memory of his mother's death in New York when the landings happen. When things go badly, he finds himself in the company of a young soldier also making his escape and they throw their lot in together--doing what they can at what seems to be the end of the world.

War of the Worlds AU based on the idea that Orson Welles' broadcast was the real deal.

Title: So Alive
Author: GottaSaveBucky (Cosmic_Entity_1of4)
Rating: E
Word Count: 108,978
Summary: A man wearing a light denim jacket over a dark blue shirt came into the shop, a box tucked under his right arm. Despite it being late afternoon, he was wearing sunglasses with bright blue lenses, and his long, dark hair was pulled back in a messy little bun. A few strands had escaped, framing his strong, unshaven jawline. The man looked into the café, smiled widely, and waved in Clint’s direction as he kept walking into the bookstore, and Steve’s mouth went completely dry.

Beautiful, was the only word to describe that smile; straight, white teeth framed by full, lush, red lips, bracketed by laugh lines and an adorable dimple in his right cheek, a charming little chin cleft just visible under the light stubble—Steve was struck literally speechless. And that was before he got a glimpse of the man’s backside. Slim hips and a round, firm-looking ass led to long, lean legs that were encased in snug, dark blue jeans.

“Guh,” Steve said, watching the dark-haired man continue on to the back of the store.

Title: How Buzzfeed Helped Bucky Barnes Get A Boyfriend
Author: [archiveofourown.org profile] nickel710
Rating: M
Word Count: 40,308
Summary: In which Bucky Barnes, Iraq war veteran and bicycle enthusiast, streams Overwatch on the side for fun under the handle President15, and one day his friend-of-a-friend FalconKnight introduces a new player to the crew, THECapRogers. It would be totally absurd for the actual Captain America to hang out in his stream and argue about baseball, right? ...right?

This work is complete (roughly 35k). It is about 85% tooth-rotting fluff and 10% canon-typical angst and 5% Bucky Barnes being a disaster. **READ THE CHAPTER SUMMARY NOTES RE: CHAPTER 1A/1B PLEASE :)**

You don't need to know anything about streaming or Overwatch to enjoy, I promise.

Title: Freshwater Memories
Author: [archiveofourown.org profile] superheroresin
Rating: E
Word Count: 50,698
Summary: Steve hasn’t been back to his family’s cottage for years, ever since the car accident took both his parents and his childhood memories. His therapist seems to think it’s a good idea for him to get out of the city for a while, so Steve decides it's time to fix it up. He remembers a lot of things when he’s finally arrives, smells the fresh grass, hears the whisper of the trees, and the familiar warmth of a home away from home. The river outside is familiar too, only Steve can’t quite remember the imaginary friend he invented from it, when he needed one the most.

The river remembers him though, and will be damned if it watches his old friend sulk in loneliness instead of play with him, like he used to.

Summary: “If you move back to Brooklyn, we can pick up where we left off,” Bucky said.
“Where did we leave off?” Steve asked.
Bucky had an image in his head that had never dimmed in intensity. It was a closed door. The door in his childhood apartment, and Steve was on the other side of it, walking away down the hall. Confusion grabbed at his seventeen year-old heart. He had wanted Steve back as soon as he walked away, even though he understood the reasons for him leaving.
Where Bucky wanted to pick up was to figure out that strain in his heart that came after the door shut, the one he hadn’t understood, and still didn’t.
“I don’t know,” Bucky admitted.

Steve wants Bucky’s help to solve the murder of Dr. Abraham Erskine. Meanwhile, Bucky wants to find out what happened to Steve after his mysterious disappearance at seventeen.
