GROUP ASK ROUND # 0: So I lost a fic...

Hi, everyone!

In an effort to adapt to our new platform, we are doing group asks a little differently in our DW community. This post will serve as an example of what lost fic requests will look like if we need to move to DW permanently, so please feel free to refer to it if you need to. As this is only an illustrative post to move our backlog, comments are disabled.

We know everyone has that one fic they've read a long time ago and, for the life of them, can't find a link to again. On Tumblr, you'd just drop the Library an ask after Google and AO3 searches failed you and we would do our best to find your lost fic for you or we would ask for the help of our lovely followers.

Here, we will be compiling lost fic requests as comments.

HELP, I CAN'T FIND A FIC!
If you have a lost fic you'd really like to find again, just fill out this template with things you remember:

1) Click the "reply" button below.
2) Your comment must have a subject title. Please put something brief and descriptive that shows what you're looking for. It can include tropes, setting, and/or rating or it can be something as simple amnesiac!Bucky, Coffee Shop AU with weird sign outside, Post TWS-fic with Sam, Shrunkyclunks with SHIELD Agent!Bucky, etc.

Lost fic summary: Hello, I’m looking for a story where Steve is captured and his captors are promising to air his death live. Bucky is with the Avengers, and absolutely loses his shit and is locked up to prevent him from going after Steve while SHIELD etc try to dig up more information. I remember Bucky threatening & cajoling by turns everyone who came to talk him down, until finally (I think) Clint releases him b/c he knows how he’d feel if it were Natasha taken. Lost fic summary: I’m looking for a oneshot fic where Bucky has brain damage from an accident or other event post-WS. It’s from Bucky’s perspective. He has memory problems, lives with Steve and Sam I think, but most of the time he doesn’t remember he has memory problems or even recognize them sometimes? One part has him mentioning a wall that was punched but he didn’t remember he was the one that punched through it. Would you know of it? Thanks <3

I’ve searched through everything and nothing. What I remember is that it’s a long post ws fic, and Steve and Sam are in Europe fighting hydra and finding Bucky. Bucky finds them, but doesn’t stay. He and Steve have a long distance friendship/relationship, Bucky sending packages, delivered by a original character girl.

Lost fic summary: So I’m trying to find a specific fic where I think it’s modern day au where Steve thought he lost Bucky and isn’t doing well like he wasn’t listening to any of his friends and when he went to a VA meeting he found Bucky again who I think was recovering elsewhere and something happened where Steve got all protective and almost injured the VA counselor while blocking Bucky. I think it was written by togina but I couldn’t find it anymore.

Lost fic summary: hey I sent an ask in about a fic where bucky fakes his death and I just remembered some more context to it if it helps!! So I thiiiink it’s after civil war bc I’m fairly sure it mentions tony, and Steve doesn’t even know about bucky not being dead bc he “passes away” in Steve’s arms basically. So Steve is initially in a grieving state. And Clint invites him around to the farm where bucko is hiding out and at first Steve doesn’t believe he’s there and there’s this big emotional reunion in clints kitchen, lots of hugging and reassurances and I think they end up staying there for a while with clints family until the heat dies down?? If you can’t find it, it’s really no problem but thank u anyway!! This blog is a blessing!!

I’m looking for an mprg fic- can’t remember if was an abo or not- what I do remember is that Bucky was the one pregnant, and it had a pretty detailed delivery scene (accurate af, and I say that as a midwife). They ended up having a boy, and when he was a baby he was able to pick up Mjolnir. I remamber thor saying all babies could pick it up bc they are pure.

But it’s got the Avengers team on some sort of mission (possibly on a cruise ship) and everyone is dressed to the nines, when Steve sees Bucky (who is either the mark or also on the mission). Bucky doesn’t recognise him, and they have great sex. hi so i read a fic a while back and can’t remember the title. i know that steve and sam lived together and bucky at one point was following them? like he would sleep on the roof and once he woke up when steve and sam went on a mission. and eventually steve convinces bucky to move in etc, and at the end of it sam “kicks them out” so they can live together and sam lets them keep the couch and mattresses bc they fucked on them or something
